Hi all, do most of you snap lines on a restripe if the old lines are still visible but faded? We were doing a restripe this morning and most of the lines were pretty visible but not the straightest I've seen. Any input is appreciated. Thanks
Snap lines on restripe?

It depends,, usually its just paint it straight over the existing. If you come to a line that has some bad bow or curve to it then snap it and paint it straight. I try to cover as much of the existing as possible by painting a straight line. It just depends on you ability. I can take 2 rocks put 1 on the start and 1 on the end of the line and paint a straight line if i run out of chalk or something like that. A snap line will definitely help you paint straighter, but as your skill increases the less layout you will need.
Thanks, it was pretty much the responses I expected. I ended up chalking some but the lot is older and pretty wavy and a lot of pot holes. Pretty hard to make anything look good but it turned out. And as always, I pulled cable to mark all my starts to make them line up. Thanks again
