Yeah I just did the research and found out about Superior Striping in Texas......Lucky for me I found ouit before registering the name. I setteled on J&K Striping Service.....Guess I need to talk to Admin about changing my name to J&K....Thanks for the info Stripes...
Not advertising but it is worth talking to me anyway. We host more pavement sites than any single firm, many sites including this one have moved to us from other hosts and you will find we offer an easy "do it yourself" site builder program if you are so inclined, but 99% of our customers find my pricing so reasonable they just have me do it & save the time & effort. Either way, I'll be glad to chat with you, it doesn't cost anything to get some answers to questions. PS: You will find many of the participants here have their sites with us and I don't know of any who are unhappy, many have been with me for years.

J & K don't worry about registering a domain name that is already registered you wont be aloud it will not let you do it. If somebody else owns it you can not do anything besides offer to buy it from them or when its time to renew they don't. Ace depending on how long ago you started this website depends on when you will get some visitors and calls. Did you put in your key words? usually it takes a lest a month to get anything and thats with the basic website. Try doing some website submissions and having your website indexed put your URL on as many free classified sites as you can. The whole trick is having your campaign have the most connections as possible. Set all your key words to min bid and have as much as you can think of or you can find. I have about 500 off of one word striping all set to min bid you have to pay attention because they will keep raising your min bid and if you don't go up with them you will be at a stand still.
Don did ours and we think it's worth the price for his service. Just picked up a nice little job from it for tomorrow. Five other striping companies in this valley and only one other has a web site. No way of knowing for sure how much business it brings in but can always trace enough to know it pays for itself several times over each year. Don't get a lot of e mail inquires through it but a lot of people who call tell us they got our phone from the site.
Just a note since Laredo said what he did. I also have a "Do it yourself" program, it's not on the PavementWeb site. It's on the http://NewIdeaHost.com site. Makes your annual cost a bit over $100 but it depends on how "computer friendly" you are. A few people here built theirs in just a couple of weeks back in the slow season, but like any software-even though it's simple and has video guides & such you do have to learn how to use it...and that takes time & depends on how fast you learn computer stuff. But think of this. Why do people quibble over a few dollars for a web site which will bring you 50X the business of a yellow page ad and pay WAY more for the yellow page ad? I had a long time customer who told me after I did his web site (he didn't have one) it doubled his business the first year (no promises just a story) he's been a customer 4 or 5 years and just the other day switched to "free" hosting from his Internet provider. It will take a year or two to realize what he gave up but I am always amazed at how people worry about the difference in $40 a year for an oversold unreliable host and $125 for a "business grade" host when they pay that much a month for a yellow page ad and don't think of it (or some other similar expense) I'm just always baffled but people get to be such "penny pinchers" when it comes to web service but wouldn't use a cheaper tool on their machine or job or paint that's a couple of dollars less because of what they get. I'd say 80% of my customers never use a fraction of what they have available "free" (like e-mail campaign programs & other such marketing tools for "today's tech") and then like one fellow with the world-o-parking site we joke about-he's in New Zealand so nobody can sue him for slander and the server he is on has almost 1,000 web sites on it last time I looked, is always slow and frequently is down 10 or 20 minutes here or there & he pays $3 a mo. --but he makes posts about how he was being "ripped off" by me back when I charged $6

Updated man you turned that into Gold. Online Bill Pay. Who came up with that keep shopping tell you reach amount owed? It's been a while sense i have been on paypay. Do they have a link that you copy and paste it on when you build or update your certain page that you launch?
Don wrote on May 1, 2009:Go to #18That's just a paste in code from PayPal, you can get it in the merchant section of your PayPal account (you must be a verified business member)
LaredoStriping wrote on May 1, 2009:Go to #19Dons right, Well in that case you all are. Its free to have a paypal account. Just register! Then create a button for your site-copy and paste- and voila your done. Ching Ching!
