Hi Guys, Happy Holidays to all ! Last year, we primarily used an oil based paint for most applications. We're here in the West, and state requirements had us recycle hazardous material at a haz waste dump site. This year, we'd like to try using a latex water borne paint whenever possible. How do you guys store your materials? Do you use your personal garage as storage? I'd REALLY appreciate hearing some good ideas that aren't too expensive. Thanks so much.

Our DEC office says that oil base paint when dry is not Haz. so our land fill will take them. I store my paint at my shop. out of courtesy I let the fire dept know what is there.

We use our steel pails to hold asphalt tack for our patching crews.

We use only latex, and store all paint in a 16x24 shed, behind the garage. We are in NJ,as long as the pails are empty the landfill will take them.If there not empty I will leave the lid off and let it dry up,and then they will take them too.
