We are starting to get more calls about removing striping.I was wondering if anybody could give me a quick rundown on what the equipment would cost, and how to price it.Thanks.

There are several different ways to remove markings, that fall into two categories; cheap and expensive. Shotblasting leaves the best finish, but he initial investment in equipment is high and the machines tend to be hard to transport around (theyre heavy). Water blasting is also very good at leaving the surface clean, but the machines start at about 250K. Scarifiers and line removers are on the cheap side and are easily transported, they also cost less to maintain. Scarifiers only work very well with an experienced operator and can dig a trench if you let them (drum type). If you like call someone over at Smith Manufacturing, they have very patient persons over there, [phone removed].

I have a chance to buy a new 200hs with auto layout for 5500.00. Is this a good price? Is it a good machine? We run 4 - 3500's and one speedflow, all are great machines.

They are a little heavey to push, but if you have a driver you will be set. Jim

FAS-STRIPE CO. Looking for an assistant, I'm doing mostly parking lots and traffic signs. Experienced person preferred but a healthy, reliable person is most important. I am located near Morgantown, PA. just off the turnpike exit in Elverson. If interested e-mail some info about yourself and a phone number. [email removed] Thanks, Stryper
