As you can tell by my website www.kiwiroadmarkers.com , there has been a lot of thought go into , it! ( Chip was waiting for it to load not realising it had already loaded!) I was wondering if you can upload music on frontpage it would just be the cherry on top if I could do that. does anybody know how to do this? can't wait to hand the reins over to Uncle Don when I get to Texas-shire!

Yes Wend you can upload music with anything, BUT it depends on the format of the music file & how it's "loaded" when the page displays as to how it will "act" for the user. (Uploaded wrong and you could trigger a separate "music" window like with Real Player or Windows Media Player) Also placing music on a web page in the "background" (other than one of those little short clips that repeats over & over) so that it plays when the page displays, will greatly slow the "load time" for most users (especially if they don't have very high speed Internet) because the music file has to "load" just like any other file on the page (text, photos, etc). There are alternatives, but not cheap, one of my customers uses a service that is very cool to put "voice over" audio on his web pages. It doesn't affect his site because the audio comes from special audio servers at the audio service. We embed some code in his web pages that makes particular audio play on the proper page but for the viewer when you go to the page it's like triggering 2 web servers at once. Ours delivers the visual content, the audio company's servers deliver the audio, it all happens at once so it's just as fast a a "plain" page because the audio isn't loading, it's being delivered "live" so to speak from the audio company. It's about $30 US just for the audio (far more than the cost from us) but the client SWEARS by it. He says it has increased his web site sales so dramatically that he has minimized all other forms of advertising, just using his other advertising (like yellow pages) to direct customers to his site. I wondered when he had me load the code for the audio into his pages and I discussed what it cost if it would be worth it, he says it's worth far more than he pays and wouldn't do without it. He says he saved way more cutting other advertising than what this costs and his web response greatly increased due to what he believes it the "personal" factor it brings to his site. I have no interest at all in the audio, it's not from us, he pays them and we don't see a penny of it, so I don't benefit from passing on what he says. I am not saying what it would do for anybody else, just what he has told me over the last year or so (maybe year and a half) he has been using it. His site is http://www.TexasAsphalt.com if you care to look (and it hasn't been updated in quite a while, he told me just last week he's sending more pictures & stuff but he's told me that about every month this year, I'm not holding my breath since now the season is here and I know he's booked solid several weeks out at least). PS: If anyone wants to check out the audio service there is a little box on the bottom of the pages that has like a stop & replay button for the audio, I think if you click the other part of it, it is a link to the audio company, and it you decide to use them please do it through his link...it doesn't affect you but I think he gets $5 credit for anybody that signs up from his link or something like that.
