Hey Guys, Never get a chance to give tips since I'm new but I figured out how to clean my suction screen to make it good as new. (I figure it out after thinner wouldn't break up the paint) 1. With scraper, scrape off layered paint outside of the screen. 2. With a flat tip screw driver, scrape off layered paint inside of the screen. 3. With a wire brush, brush off as much of the rest of the paint as possible. 4. Here's the key: With a wire brush, pound away at the screen to poke away at the crevices. The screen wires should be thicker than the brush wires to prevent dents or callapsing of the screen. Mine came out good as new!!! If there's an even better way, please let me know.

m hit it with a wire brush quickly and it will be good as new. Or you can try one of the solvent methods listed above which work very well. Randy that sounds like a recipe for an exploding paint pail
Just like RandyV said, first remove, then hit it with a propane touch for 15- 20 seconds. It's made out of stainless steel but beware of getting to hot at the top or thread area as you can melt the soldier that connects the screen to the threaded top.
Thanks Jake! I stop buy and read a few of the posts but don't have as much desire to contribute as I used to unless it is somebody in trouble. I'm having too much fun with the R3. Going to the Smokeys this week to ride Tail of the Dragon and Helll Bender.
