Polls are notoriously skewed upon who conducts them. The original poll that I posted is a report card type of public opinion poll without leading questions. Considering a grade of C and above as approval and D & F as disapproval it looks to me as if Obama has a 10% overall approval rating. But I'm sure that you will gladly point out the error of my thought process.

Here we go, drudge up the "He's doing better than Dubby". That (expletive) Dubby. It's all his fault. It rained in Texas today. Someone call CNN (Cranium Numb Network) tell them Bush caused the rain in Texas. Dubya only had a Terrorist attack to contend with in his first 9 months. Yeah, he should have just sat back and let us take it in the Democrat.

Actually Cali, my feeling on polls....they are like Domingos. Everybody has one. Both of these polls came from the same source. Probably with fairly small representative samples, and they mean exactly what they mean at that moment in time, and they can be interpreted with whatever amount of sway and spin the interpreter cares to impart. Its kinda like the straw poll last weekend at CPAC. If you believe that poll, Ron Paul (31%) will be the next Republican candidate for president and Sarah Palin (7%) couldn't get elected dog catcher. Do I think that poll predicts anything? Nope. Do I worry about Obama's approval rating? Nope. Does Obama worry about his approval rating? I hope not, he has more important issues to worry about. And of course, just for Domingo, there is this: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/01/16/opinion/polls/m… But polls do give the talking heads something to talk about, other than Boner going missing at the Olympics. (Boner, if you read this, call Mike, all is forgiven).

I'm sure if Boner is found, Morning would be the most likely time. BTS, you dark deep rotten stinky _-hole. You are the epitome of the pot calling the kettle black. You are a piece of work.

I guess Ol' McCain raised the hackles on Obie today. Poor Obie isn't used to people who don't kiss his bum. It's like watching a spoiled child. Can you believe this man is supposed to be the leader of the free world. What a laugh! I am truly embarrassed for this country.

BTS, I believe that you made a spelling error with your little blurb "If it's morning in America, where's my pancakes?" . Because it's not morning in America, IT'S MOURNING IN AMERICA!. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWpU8sX10_4

I guess I just dont' get how business owners can be liberal politically. I mean, in the 5 years that I have been in biz for myself, I have seen how government dependency takes the "man" out of people. Welfare is nothing more than a cancer on someone's life. Sure, there are the "few" who truly "need it", but the reality is that most don't. And what does it do? It makes them lazy, it makes them spend all the money they make on things that are wasteful like the booze, etc. It makes them want to cheat, (i.e. get paid under the table) because if they show too much income their "benefits" will get cut, etc. I see bright men come and go as employees. I also see all the initiative sucked out of them because they are still dependent on their parents. The parents of Mommy/daddy government. Now, I get the whole "we should be charitable" thing, and I give in many ways (although not engough). But, is it really being charitable when you are fighting for the "poor", when in reality you are making them poor on every level (spiritually, emotionally, financially, etc.) because you "give them" entitlements? Its the whole give them a fish they eat for a day, teach them to fish they eat for a life time. If you truly pay attention to these men, and you truly understand how "free stuff" impacts them, it is impossible to say that democrat ideology is truly "for the people." God intended man to work, if that man is able. It is a poverty that we have other individuals robbing them of that God given right. Just my .02.

Supdog, you're right on base. I'll give anyone a helping hand to get back up but the liberals have redefined a helping hand as a life long hand out. Take a look at New Orleans after the hurricane and you see the effects of people who have lost the ability to even help themselves. It was the cradle to grave nanny state that created people who at the first opportunity pissed and moaned that the government did not take care of them. Ask people from Houston or Dallas how self reliant the people who got relocated there are. Just look at the crime stats of both of those cities after they were blessed with New Orleans refugees. Those people were created by a sixty year Democrat controlled state. Mandatory drug testing for all receiving public funds would be a big step forward. I have to believe that most small businessmen understand this.
