The Quick Mart on the Corner

My helper and I load up for the day and he says 'hey, stop at the store, down here, I need to get something." We pull in and notice the lot had been striped....kinda. As we are walking in, we stop and giggle at the freehand H/C guy in the YELLOW box. I guess the Asian guy at the counter noticed and asked "what are you looking at?" Of course my response was "I hope you didn't pay someone to do that!" He proceeded to tell us that a couple of African-American gentleman (actually he said "black guys") stopped and offered to stripe the lot. He went on to say "They not do too good!" ...His words not mine. Of course, then he asked for a card and I told him, that I had already dropped off several over the years, as we stop in regularly. I also explained that I had given a stack to the guy who pressure washes their lot... who in turn was SUPPOSED to give some to the owner at their "other" location. Honestly, I could really care less. But it's just the thought that I' ll have to drive by this business at least TWICE A DAY ( going to work and coming home ) and look at the half-a$$ striping job. Of course, on the way out, we got another good laugh....The "fire lane" or should I say "reddish color stripe" had one lonely stencil. I guess they didn't have a stencil, so they just painted up to the ends of the old lettering and stopped. In the end it was all good. Because, I actually had my digital camera with me today!
