I just set up a trial program i would like to give to my customers in CT. The excel spreadsheet allows quick and simple paint and bead estimates for jobs using specs of 1 Gal. of paint will stripe a 300 linear foot line 4" wide at 15 mils. Now, I want to make sure it is worth using and need some input on it and would like anyone who might be interested in this to e-mail me at [email removed] . If/when you e-mail please tell me if your a contractor or municipality (i have 2 formats) and i will send the program as an attachment to you. My only request for giving you the program is tell me what is good, bad, and ugly about it. Tell me what you want fixed, what you liked, wether it was easy to use, and wether you think others would want it. Feel free once you have it to give it to others and get their input on it. I can assure you any input given i will use and any changes i see as making sense that I over looked will be taken care of. Lastly I would request the first use of the program check the math and make sure it is right if it is not then e-mail me with what needs to be changed and i will send you a fixed copy ASAP. O.K. so i have had 10 lookers and no takers on this offer its free of charge, will save time, will better estimate the paint and beads you need to use, and will allow you if you want to give an idemized list of product use on jobs for more organized fileing someone take me up on this worse comes to worse you open it try it take 5 min. and hate it. Just give it a try i am doing my best to help all contractors in the field of pavement maintenece. Program tools let you- Enter linear feet or #of stndard 18' stalls and gives you the amount of paint and beads needed along with what will need to be ordered as far as number of buckets, drums, or totes. This takes all the math out of it you give it numbers it gives you results.

It's a good idea. I already have something similar that I have been using for years. I will email you for a copy and try it out. I assume you have to have Excel to run this. Do you know if it will work with free spreadsheet programs?

I am not too sure whether it will work on another program or not but I can try to find out for you and i would be happy to see the program you use maybe i can take some pointers from it if you don't mind and change mine to make it better.

If I could get a copy of both of these programs I would appreciate it. I have 15 years experience in the computer industry and have been looking for something easy. Thanks

I would like a copy of both also. I have a copy of Cole brothers' program, but it's not really suitable for my use. Can i get a copy of each one? If you've used one for years Robert, it must do the job pretty well. thanks

Everyone should have a spread sheet on their computer. Excel is popular. Just buy a book on how to write simple formulas and write your own program. Excel book for dummies. Excel is very easy to figure out and so is setting up a spread sheet that works best for you.
