Bear 62 sent me some pictures of a new Wal-Mart parking lot. You gotta see this to be live it. BTW - if you want to send me pictures, reduce the size of them first. Bear nearly choked my email with his. But it was worth it to see this. I re-sized them and posted them to the photo gallery. here's the link: http://parkinglotplanet.com/photos/index.php?cat=10022

Layout? Plans? Spec sheet? Dee Dee Dee, What are those? Hopefully he learned something from that. 1 or 2 stalls short maybe, 70!!! It's not brain surgery. Domingo

I find these picture hard to believe. Maybe the store was getting ready for an overlay or sealcoat. No one could possibly pull a job off this bad without getting stopped by someone. Anyway it's a funny even if it ain't true.

The Wal-Mart in Lewisville was at least as bad until the most recent seal-coat. I was gonna take pics but hesitate on criticising other work. Could'a been the same "professionals". I'll take some when it wears a little.

That is really bad work. I laughed so hard when I saw the 2-person wheelchair stencil. Does anyone sell those? What about 3-person wheelchair stencils? Ha Ha Ha...... Very true---You get what you pay for.

Robert ,thanks for cleaning up the pics. I sent them off without even giving the size a thought. Hope your computer recovers I agree \\\Stripes/// I don't like to criticize others either (could be me one day) but I felt there was a lesson to be learned. I know I will count twice before I put down the paint!! And that black out is NOT a fix. They would have been a lot better off accepting the screw-up than trying to fix it..

Just looks like the job that was done here in Kansas, must of been the same crew. Store manager stated that he received a call stating will be there on this date and the next morning the job was completed. Was stated by store manager that corp sent out the crew on a regional base and that they had no control over it. Seen it before will see it again. Bob

Laying out 9' instead of 8.5', maybe. Blacking out with interior house paint, ok. But those angles. What the f* were they thinking. And just use the old hashed lines, my god, there only 5 degrees from the new ones.

Ive ran into somthing like that at a new home depot, i was beet out by low bid, and then asked to just black out and match his price. I refused the job, I didnt want my name on it unless they spent 1.00pr ft to beed blast the whole lot and and then pay my original proposal. the contractor was a landscaper who thaught he could stripe, now his landscaping and stripe co is out of biz and i got his new striper for 1500.00.

He'll probably continue landscaping, but i doubt he'll try striping again, for a long while anyway. .

Are you sure that these pic were not taken in Kansas. Seen a Wal-Mart lot just like it here some 60 miles away that is being redone asphalt and all because of bad layout and some bad asphalt work. Bob

Every spec on every layout I have ever done is 4 inches between two four inch lines.I dont think Ive ever heard of having 12 inches between them!
