Can anyone tell me who builds and hosts any websites? Looking for a something solid and reputable looking but do not want to over pay. Ryan

I use intuit. Its very simple--nothing fancy at all-- its like 5 or 6 bucks a month. I have gotten several jobs from it just sitting there.

Well, I have heard that Don has completed good web sites but i am not having any luck with him. I am not one to start any problems but i have had a horrible experience with him getting any improvements on my site.

check out www.promarkstripes.com and tell me how the HOME page looks? Don thinks this looks professional and complete. I disagree, but i suppose that is my opion. I gave him text to input and photos but i was relying on him to work with me to organize the site and have it look simple, to the point, and profesional . Maybe i am mistaken but i cannot make requests without being cut of by him and told every reason why he could not get to it. Im becoming very frustrated with this entire thing. I have been extremely patient and people should know what they are getting into with him. I'm sure he has completed nice sites but i am not having any luck.

Ryankin, I think that is an impressive website. They are only good for two things, help the prospect to find you and then intice them to contact you. I think yours will do both. Don knows what he is doing as far as design goes and getting high on the hit list. Having said that my experience with Don was kind of the same so I just leave mine alone rather than having a long winded conversation that keeps both of us from getting anything done.

Looks ok to me. Probably not the best avenue to discuss it.

I designed my own site. Costs me $11 a month I think. Occassionally I go in and change or add things, and if I get really bored I make a whole new site. It usually takes me a couple days from start to finish. This is really easy. Plus, I get something like 200 free email addresses with it. We use about 10 or so right now. Some feedback on my site would be appreciated. Good, bad or otherwise. www.georgiasealcoating.com

Ryan, I think your site could really be improved but Don can only work with the raw materials that he is provided with. I think your site could be flashier but more simple, less wordy with some well configured photos. The sole purpose of your site is to generate a phone call. The person doesn't want to invest half an hour going over it. Key "catch phrases" will generate a phone call. Example of photos. Airport photo should show a finished product not something that is going to be done. ADA photo is too busy, should be stand alone without the truck and cars or the water puddle. Should show the emblem in the stall as the center of attention. Picture at the bottom of services offered with the guy on the rider would have looked great with trailer out of shot and the stencils gone showing nice crisp turn arrow. Warehouse Indoor page said nothing about warehous/indoor and was repetitive. In summation grab their attention and prompt the phone call or Email quickly. I'm not beating you up it's just my opinion. Good Luck.

I have provided Don with several other photos and text. I was hoping he would advise me on what would look best and sound best. I thought since he has done many of these he would know what looks best and so on with the info provided. I know my site can be drastically improved and that is my point. Don has not assisted in completing it even after i emaphasized payment in full upon completion. I am very busy with work and dont have the time to build my own so i am trying to be patient here. I feel like everything is being thrown on there so it looks like something has been done. Thank you for your reply Calif Striper, what you told me in a paragraph was more than i got out of don other than all the problems he is going through. I have a lot going on in my life to and don't tell contractors/customers thats why i cldnt do their job or spray a couple lines here and there and then stall it for another month to do the same. Again, i have been on here a long time and try not to start problems and this is not my intent, but it looks like Don is not going to come through and maybe he will, but i am discouraged at this point.

Same boring templete as always. Its a very outdated look. Just like my site that Don hosts. Time for a new look.

Ryankin, my first impression of your sight was it was extremely to busy. Far to much information vs. pics to look at. I took time and structured my own which I myself think it is a nice sight. Maybe you can give me some feedback or any of you could. My sight has been very helpful in obtaining jobs but on the other side of the coin maybe it would be much more helpful if someone like don created it. The simple fact is, it is important to find the right person to place it where it needs to be, have key words, and know the tricks of the trade to attract web crawlers and such things of that nature. Also, make sure its registered with google. Let me know what you think about www.sealcoatandstripe.com .. thanks for any imput

I hesitate to enter this thread but feel I must. I have been after Don to update our web site for 9 months now and have received nothing of value. I have also asked him several times to send me passwords and any information I need to have someone else revise and update our web site. He has aparently run into a lot of personal bad luck with health and other issues but his service has become non existant to the point I am ready to pull not only form his web services but from his hosting as well. It's nothing personal but strictly business and if I can't even get simple responses, it proves he is not in a position to service me as a customer.
