You may begin registering & posting whenever you want to... (within the forum guidelines of course, read the registration agreement, it's there for a reason). We will still be working on things for a while and there are some unexpected conflicts with parts of the PLP web site we will be tracking down. It's the opposite of what we expected (life usually is) and these forums work fine (so post all you want) but there are some bugs we have to track down in the PLP website itself. So if some of the website pages like ordering or pictures etc. or links are broken we will be working on it. (And we may accidentally cause these forums to "hiccup" in the process, please be patient if they go down for a few minutes we'll get them right back up). Welcome, these forums have all the features of the "test" forums and then some! Happy Posting!

Wow. Some upgrade. It will take me a few visits to get the hang of the new site. I feel like a pilot who just let the cockpit of a two seater prop and moved up to a 747. Talk about options. Nice job guys.(I do miss my smiley face with sunglasses however.)

It should be. The server backs all sites up every night. But there is also the option of backing this forum up anytime. The problem was the "saved" backup from last night had very few users saved since it runs in the very early morning and not many people registered between midnight when I got everything going and 3 or so when it backed up. Most folks had registered this morning & those are the ones I lost... In the future if I try any major modifications I'll just back up the forum first so at most we might lose a post or two if somebody was posting while I was working on it. Very unlikely. Everything in life has an up and downside. The upside is all the power, speed, and great features these forums offer compared to what Robert had before. The downside is that comes with complexity and more room for errors when trying to do custom modifications in the files of a program like this one. BTW: Robert is doing a lot of make-over work on the actual ParkingLotPlanet website. These forums have been "my baby" and I've done them for Robert free both because he's a friend and so are so many of you who enjoy these forums (and I enjoy the process of learning something new and trying to make it do what I want it to, it's like OTJ training for some other customer I might get someday.. But like all OTJ training I've had my moments since in the web-world making something work "in production" (or "live" like these are now) always throws you some curves even though we had the "test" site up for about 2 weeks. It will be very interesting to watch as more people start having more real discussions & using all the features (and probably finding some bugs) as time goes by.
