I was wondering what others do when it comes to installing a wheel stop with regard to their distances from Poles and Curbs. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, with a Pole installed, what minimum distance would you recommended installing the wheel stop to prevent vehicles from hitting the pole? Feedback and experiences appreciated.

I've been doing 2 ft but I have had some post hit from a truck that backed into the spot with an extended draw hitch and also from a long van that extends past the rear wheels a lot.

We always have done 3ft from the curb face to the back of the bumper

Go with 3, if it's angle then square it with the line.

30 inches from the curb to the back of the wheel stop or 36 inches to the front.
