PLSIC is being built. The Standards Development Committee, the CPLS credential, the contractor directory, the white-paper program, and the preferred-vendor and partner programs are all in their founding phase. The way each one looks for the decades that follow depends on who shows up now.

PLSIC is filling nine seats on the body that develops technical standards for parking lot striping work in the United States. Practicing contractors, manufacturers, property managers, public-sector regulators, academics, and general-interest specifiers can apply. Three-year terms, staggered start, cash compensation, no equity during service.
The seat exists once. The work it sets up runs from here forward.
Every PLSIC draft standard goes out for a comment period of not less than 45 days, and the Committee answers every comment that is submitted, on the record. The first paper open for comment is on the books now.
